“I do not have a disability; I have a gift! Others may see it as a disability, but I see it as a challenge. I become stronger and smarter because of my disability; others should be so lucky.”
—Shane E. Bryan

JOBWORX is a non-for-profit organization advocating for individuals with disabilities and special needs. We are committed to creating a world where people with disabilities are fully integrated and accepted in all aspects of our culture.
Our objective is to advocate for individuals living with disabilities. To achieve this goal we partner with socially conscious employers in our communities.
JOBWORX believes that all people with disabilities should be defined by their strengths, abilities and inherent value, not by their disability and that they are entitled to the respect, dignity and equality.
We provide one-on-one coaching and mentoring services up to the time of employment and we continue services to those with significant disabilities after work has begun. Clients who have worked with a JOBWORX Employment Specialist report many positive impacts, including: improved communication, increased self-esteem/self-confidence, increased productivity, optimized performance and improved quality of life!
Part of our mission is to educate employers about hiring people with disabilities. Smart business decisions are not just a matter of counting short-term profits. Wise decision makers consider the future impact of today’s choices – on their employees, on their customers, and on their communities.
We support and empower our clients to attain valuable skills, to reach professional goals, and to develop strategies for careers advancement. Our Employment Specialists and Job Coaches are dedicated to meeting the specific needs of each and every client.
Customized Employment (CE) is a strategy that identifies individuals with significant barriers to employment; it offers them alternatives to the more traditional placement strategies. It is based on a determination of the strengths, needs and interests of the job seeker, and it is designed to meet the specific needs of the employer.
Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) Florida’s Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) is a federal-state program committed to helping people with disabilities become part of America’s workforce. VR has 89 offices across Florida and last year helped thousands of Floridians with significant disabilities find and maintain employment.
